If BUDS2 not recognized the connected vehicle.
Make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements.
If the RAM is less than 16GB, then rescanning the vehicle may help (steps below).
Make sure that the vehicle model is 2017+.
Check if are installed all needed packages Microsoft Visual C++ x86 versions listed above:
Start > Control Panel > Programs > Programs & Features.
Install/update the Java.
Run BUDS2 with Administrator rights.
Problem detecting vehicle in BUDS2
Sometimes BUDS2 doesn’t detect vehicles due to problems with the firewall or antivirus.
Please follow step-by-step instructions:
- Open BUDS2 sofware
- Click on SUMMARY buton
- Click on tab VCI Summary and then click on VCI Connected with BUDS2 to uncheck the box.
- Click again on VCI connected with BUDS2 to check again the box.
- Click on SCAN buton.
If the parameters of the computer are lower than specified in the minimum requirements, then the scanning of the vehicle can take a considerable time.
To increase the speed of the BUDS2 software, you must close all applications that can take up RAM and slow down your computer.
